Scope

From june 2002, Radiosim is freeware.

  1. Execute Install.exe
The installation is a standard Windows installation under Windows XP, Vista and former versions.
For windows 7, 8 and 8.1 some difficulties appear as Microsoft hates old programs, even Microsoft ones.
Try to use open with administrator rights (mouse right clic).
Moreover, the Help pages of Radiosim have been written with WinHelp32, which was part of the former versions of Windows. You must install it
    (search WinHelp32 with Google).
For Linux, do not remember to load Wine before.
  2. The sources are also freeware and no copyright is needed. Download Sources.zip (1 Mb) and uncompress it in the same repertory as above.
You must own Microsoft Visual Basic version 6.
In case of version 5, erase line "Retained=0" of Radiosim.vbp, delete the continuous progress bar in Continue_Form.rm and replace it by the discontinuous progress bar of version 5.
Same problem as above : To install Microsoft Visual Basic version 6 from an installation CDROM, do not use Autorun. Open the CD ROM and click "Run as administrator".
Sources.zip include two routines written in Fortran 90 to speed computation (FFT and bit error rate computation),
I used Microsoft Fortran Power Station (no more commercialised by Microsoft, but par Digital).
Any other development program in Fortran could be used instead.
